Distrakt – Phonic
Distrakt is another from Sydney and this is some class noize. I really need to look ore into this place if this is what they’ve got. Dont know anything about him so ill let his myspace bio do the talking.
This young producer is a fast growing trend in the electronic music scene, producing for a few months now Distrakt is accomplishing many things. Music soon became a passion to this Sydney born deejay and producer, his vision of playing to a huge audience is rapidly becoming a reality growing into this mad scientist we see behind the turntables at some of the worlds craziest parties. His interest in music from a young age has continued to evolve into some of the most mind-blowing productions/remixes and Dj sets one will observe. The inclination towards NOIZE became clear after spending years on the drums with his indie band. It was only with time that we saw him in the studio producing new age banging maximal electronic distorted noize. This dark knight of the electronic club scene saves lost kids from commercial dance pop. Dropping remixes from the worlds best producers, while accompanied with few of his own productions. In addition he has received praises from producers such as Shadow Dancer [boys noize rec], Strip Steve [boys noize rec] and Huoratron [New Judas] just to name a few. While DISTRAKT continues to generate huge interests globally on blogs, from club promoters/touring agents and record labels he never looses focus and sight from his main priorities and doing what he loves best, which is producing music with passion.
